Wow, I blinked and another year has come to a close. 2015 has been full of ups and downs – so much has happened both personally and professionally. As a Las Vegas family photographer, I have been so blessed to capture the memories of my amazing clients, as well as those of my own family. My oldest turned 18, graduated, and moved to Henderson – I am officially the mother to an adult child – yikes! He is currently working and trying to figure out what he’d like to do with his life. Calista got her driver’s license and is a junior in high school. Damien started high school this year also. I’m homeschooling all of my middle school aged and younger children. The kids were busy with soccer all summer and fall. We took two AMAZING road trips to Montana and Washington this summer – we visited my mom and dad, hiked, camped, fished, ate s’mores, stargazed, played in the Pacific ocean, and had many amazing adventures and created beautiful family memories. We’ve decided we’d like to move to Montana sometime in the next few years – it’s stunningly beautiful and offers the secluded, quiet lifestyle in the wilderness we all crave. We added a new family member to our brood – our Siberian kitty named Luna – she is like one of the kids and is so, so sweet! On a sad note, I lost 2 early pregnancies this year – one baby due in December (my due date passed just 2 weeks ago) and another due on Leap Year. I am happy to announce that I am again expecting a baby, this time a little girl due this spring. I am 21 weeks now and things are going well – I am so thankful! Pregnancy definitely gets tougher as you get older and this will be our last, so I’m trying to enjoy every minute of it (the heartburn, not so much). No name for the little princess yet but we have several strong contenders. 🙂 My grandparents both celebrated their 90th birthdays this summer – I am so lucky to still have them! My mom and dad spent Christmas with us – it was a wonderful time and has been an overwhelmingly positive year despite some sad and challenging times.
Photography-wise, I’ve made some big changes to my photography business. I came back from a year long break from taking clients and am slowly integrating client work back into my schedule. I missed it so much! It’s been a wonderful year to be a Las Vegas family photographer and I am greatly looking forward to what 2016 brings, both personally and professionally. Thank you to all of my family, friends, and clients who have supported me this year and throughout my journey, I am so appreciative.
I’d like to share with you a collection of some of my favorite images from 2015. This is a random mixture of client work, creative shoots, and personal/family images. Grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and check them out. I enjoyed looking back on a year’s worth of work and putting this together to share with you. If you’d like, you can check out my 2014 favorites HERE, and my 2013 favorites HERE. 🙂 Happy New Year! May your 2016 be full of abundant health, happiness, and prosperity!
