My daughter is amazing. She’s smart, gorgeous, talented, and a genuinely sweet person. We are huge supporters of our 2A rights and had a wonderful time doing these photos. I wanted to play around with contrasting elements in these images and honestly couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Calista – I love you! A quick note – YES the rainbow is real! It doesn’t rain often in the desert, but when it does, it is SPECTACULAR!
Before I share these images, I also have an announcement to make. As of today, I am no longer booking client sessions. I have gone back and forth on this for quite a while, but something had to give and a decision needed to be made. I have 10 children. I am homeschooling 2 of them now but ultimately want to have all of them home with me. I need my time and my weekends back. I will still continue to offer occasional post processing classes as well as 2-3 workshops per year, but from today forward, I will only be shooting for myself. These babies are only little once! I want to thank everyone who has supported me over the years – especially my family who has sacrificed so much. I am by no means quitting photography as I love it far too much to give it up. I’m simply moving in a direction that will allow me full creative control over my shoots and more importantly, full control over my time investments. Stay tuned, because I cannot wait to see where this new adventure takes me. 🙂
With that, I hope you enjoy these photos! 🙂
Meg Bitton and I had had this workshop planned for months – gorgeous models, jaw dropping scenery, and a lot of learning, friends, and fun. We were a little worried about the weather to start things off. It NEVER rains in Vegas, but it decided to get all dark and gloomy on us the day of our workshop. As things would turn out, the dramatic skies and rain soaked red rocks made for some amazing photos. Our models and attendees were real troopers and made a cool and chilly day into an amazing experience for everyone. Thank you all SO much for a wonderful, successful workshop! We hope to do it again next year and hope you can join us!
Here are a few of the images I captured during the workshop. Enjoy! 🙂
Our awesome maternity models, despite a long and very cold day, braved downtown Fremont Street in old Vegas for us for some night photography. I had never shot at night before using ambient city lighting, but it was so much fun and definitely a new and amazing experience!
Autumn and her family recently made the 8 hour trek from Sierra Vista, Arizona to the Valley of Fire just outside of Las Vegas for her ‘Sweet Sixteen’ shoot – we had such an amazing time! Autumn is such a sweet, gorgeous girl and was flat out model material in front of the camera. We got so many amazing shots! It won’t be long at all and I’ll be doing her senior session. I cannot wait! Thank you so much Autumn and Chrisanne for a wonderful afternoon. I had so much fun doing these for you!
