I am SO behind on blogging right now, and have been meaning to put Hanna and Jessica’s pictures up here forever now! These 2 girls are seriously stunning and SO much fun to work with! Hanna is my 2014 senior model from Kingman High School, and Jessica is my 2014 senior model from the Kingman Academy High School. We trekked all the way to the Valley of Fire outside of Vegas to do Part I of their shoot. Not only are these girls gorgeous and fashionable, but they are so sweet and just flat out nice girls. You really can’t beat that! They’ve been friends since they were little so the dynamics were so much fun!
Stay tuned for Part II of their shoot which I’ll be doing shortly after school starts here in a few weeks. These young ladies are always AMAZING to work with! Thank you girls for such a great day! 🙂
If you are a 2014 graduating senior in Kingman, Lake Havasu, Bullhead City, or the Las Vegas/Henderson area, please e-mail me at email@example.com! My fall is nearly booked but I do still have some availability and would LOVE to work with you!
It is no secret that it is hard to photograph your own newborn. With the exhaustion of having a new baby in the house, having just gone through childbirth, and with other family responsibilities on the table, sometimes your love for photography and desire to document your baby’s first days can get put on the back burner. That has been me so many times! This time, I vowed to really make an effort to capture Gabriel’s first precious days. A baby’s time being a newborn is so fleeting and I want to document all of it. As a project within a project, I have decided to create a baby album for Gabriel, complete with his newborn photos, photos of him with each of his siblings, as well as a group photo of all the children. So far, I’m about halfway done. Some kids are off doing other things for the summer so it’s an on-going project, but I WILL complete it this time.
Consider this part I and stay tuned for part II. 🙂
This is my sweet boy, Adrian. He has a 7th birthday coming up in about 3 weeks! I love how they are both grinning here…
My gorgeous daughter, Calista…I love this image more than words can say.
Sweet little Elliott…I won’t lie, we worried a little bit about how Elliott would handle being displaced as the baby of the family. Our worries were unfounded though as Elliott absolutely LOVES his new baby brother! Too much sometimes. 😉 Elliott is learning body parts now and was showing me baby’s nose…
Sweet, sensitive Millie…my girlie girl. She has such a tender heart. I love how she is holding her baby brother in such a protective embrace here.
Precious Octavia…such a sweet, silly girl! Octavia celebrated her fourth birthday the day before Gabriel was born.
My sweet son, Theron…look how happy Gabriel looks in his brother’s arms! <3
My amazing husband and his new son…
Calista took this for me! I think I need to hire her on as my assistant asap! She did an awesome job. I’m not too keen on being in front of the camera, but I can say that this image is, without a doubt, my favorite picture of myself EVER. That’s saying something – she did an amazing job!
And a few photos of Gabriel solo…I couldn’t resist. 🙂
And just because doing this pose on ONE blanket wasn’t enough, he actually let us move him to a totally different blanket. I’m having way too much fun, can you tell? 🙂
I love this one of Dewey and Gabriel. <3
And yes, he really *does* wake up sometimes. Are you looking, Mom? 🙂 He’s also not keen on wearing ‘bonnets’ (Jeff’s words). lol
And don’t quote me on this, but I *think* this is going to be my announcement. My poor friends are probably sick to death of me going on about this announcement, but it is hard when you have a strong emotional attachment to ALL of the photos. What, people don’t need 50 pictures of my baby for their fridge? 🙂 It is SO much easier designing client announcements! A huge thank you goes out to Kim of Laugh & Grow Press for her help and for the amazingly sweet, simple, and very versatile templates. You can purchase these templates on their website – use the code: ljholloway20 for 20% off! Go and ‘like’ them on Facebook too – let them know I sent you. 😉
I am so happy to announce that our new baby boy, Gabriel Lucas Holloway, was born on Monday, June 24th at 11:08pm. After months of waiting and anticipating his arrival, he made a rather speedy appearance after a short labor. He is an absolutely beautiful baby boy and is so, so loved! His birth was attended by the wonderful nurses of KRMC, Dr. Tedesco, 2 of my older children (Calista & Damien), and my dear friends Robin and Michelle. Michelle is a local photographer and was so kind to photograph Gabriel’s birth for me. She has truly given me a priceless gift! I have no photos of any of my other 9 children coming into the world and I am so grateful to have these images of Gabriel’s birth. You can check out my birth photos on Red Door Photography’s Facebook page.
I am by no means done taking Gabriel’s newborn photos, but we are currently in limbo waiting to see if we are going to be evacuated due to the Dean Peak fire currently burning in the Hualapai Mountains near Kingman, Arizona. Life has sort of come to a standstill as we are glued to the news and radar, praying for rain. The neighborhood just up the street from us has already been evacuated and we are praying that everyone stays safe and no homes are lost. I wanted to put up a few of Gabriel’s pictures that I have taken so far and will hopefully be adding more soon. Stay tuned for more, and please keep Arizona in your thoughts and prayers…too many lives and homes have been lost already!
On a happier note, here is my beautiful new baby boy. He’s a blonde haired, blue eyed cutie with a huge dimple in his left cheek (that I WILL capture soon). Enjoy! 🙂
